One one hand I have been lusting over the MK1 Escort for so long now I can't even remember the first time I heard of them.... On the other hand the Alfa GTV is in my top three of cars to own at one point in my life. One one foot, I've been a Die Hard Ford guy since I popped out of the womb. On the other my love for Alfa has given me a whole new outlook on the global automotive landscape. Both have similar proportions, similar power trains and similar performance capabilities. If cost and logistics was no issue, I think I would go with the Ford.... But there are conditions, It would have to have the rally lights and the right wheels and webber carbs and be either White, bright blue or bright green.

P.S. This is probably the hardest would you rather you could pose to me unless you had to make me choose between my future children.

One is a beautiful Italian sport coupe with styling and sounds that make me feel all the feels.

The other is a quick version of a soggy, homely old bargain bin designed to be conservative, soggy, and homely at the outset. It's a much better can than what it's based on. But it's still uninteresting to me when compared to the lovely GTV.

GTV it is. By a long way.

Alfa all day long, but that's nothing against the Ford. I just love those things.
